William Creek pop. 16

William creek is supposedly the world's most remote pub - situated hours away from any other and in the middle of the biggest running cattle station in the world, Anna creek station. Anna creek station is 24 000km2 in size (thats 6 000 000 acres!) and mainly runs cattle (16 000 roughly). In comparison America's biggest ranch is 6 000km2. Anna creek station is bigger than Belgium. The only road into and out of the town is a dirt track called the Oodnadatta track. The town proudly proclaims itself the gateway to the Simpson desert and the salt lake, Lake Eyre (Australia's lowest point). more pics coming.
